About the Role

Public procurement is how our autonomous ground systems actually reach the armed forces. As (Senior) Tender Manager at ARX Robotics, you will own our global tender processes end-to-end: from identifying and qualifying an opportunity, through building a compliant and competitive submission, to handing the awarded contract over to our after-sales and delivery teams. 

You will be the central point of contact for all procurement-related activities and the person who keeps a complex bid on track. Working closely with Legal, Sales, Finance, and Tech, you will translate demanding governmental requirements into clear internal workstreams, hold deadlines that do not move, and make sure every submission represents ARX Robotics accurately and to a high standard. This role suits someone who enjoys structure and detail in a fast-moving environment, and who wants their work to be directly visible in the contracts we win. 

What You'll Build

  • A reliable end-to-end tender process, from opportunity monitoring and qualification through submission, award, and handover to after-sales
  • Systematic screening of relevant tender platforms and procurement portals, with clear go/no-go recommendations based on fit, capacity, and commercial attractiveness
  • High-quality, fully compliant bid submissions, including the coordination of technical, commercial, and legal documentation against formal tender requirements
  • A dependable bid calendar with internal milestones, review gates, and submission deadlines
  • Close alignment with Legal on tender terms, eligibility criteria, and compliance requirements, and with Finance on pricing, costing input, and commercial terms
  • Clear collaboration with Tech to turn customer requirements and specifications into convincing bid content
  • A structured library of reusable bid content, company documentation, references, and lessons learned that makes each following tender faster and stronger
  • Structured post-tender reviews and debriefs, feeding insights back into pricing, product & tech, positioning, and future bids 

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in tender management, bid management, public procurement or strategic / operational consulting, ideally in defence, security, aerospace, public infrastructure, or a comparable regulated sector(s)
  • Proven experience with public sector or governmental procurement processes and formal tender requirements (e.g. EU procurement procedures, NATO/framework tendering, innovation and R&D-driven procurement vehicles, or national defence procurement such as VSVgV)
  • A structured, hands-on, deadline-driven way of working, with the ability to run several tenders in parallel without losing 
  • Strong attention to detail when working with formal criteria, eligibility requirements, and submission 
  • Confidence coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Sales, Finance, and Tech, and holding others to shared 
  • Clear, precise writing skills and the ability to make technical content readable for an evaluating 
  • Solid commercial understanding, including pricing logic, cost structures, and contractual 
  • Awareness of compliance, export control, and confidentiality requirements in a defence 
  • Degree in Business Administration, Law, Industrial Engineering, Public Administration, or a comparable field, or equivalent practical 
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken (German is essential for working with contracting authorities)
