Kairos is a free way to browse AI and machine-learning jobs. You can use the whole site without an account, and we try to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

The short version

  • Browsing needs no account and no personal details.
  • Your profile, resume, and saved jobs stay in your own browser. They never reach our servers.
  • Analytics run only if you turn them on.
  • We never sell your data.

What we collect

We handle four kinds of data, and no more:

Data that stays on your device
When you build a profile, upload a resume, or save a job, that information is stored locally in your browser. Your resume is read in your browser to pull out its text; the file itself is never uploaded to us. This data stays on your device until you clear it.
Your email, if you subscribe
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send it. Nothing else is required.
Analytics, only if you opt in
If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages and features people use. Nothing is measured until you grant consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Basic request data
Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to serve pages and keep the site secure.

How we use it

  • To show you jobs and let you filter, save, and match them.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for.
  • To understand how the site is used and make it better, if you have opted into analytics.
  • To keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse.

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We rely on a few trusted providers to run the service:

  • Zoho Campaigns stores newsletter emails and sends the newsletter.
  • Google Analytics measures site usage, but only after you opt in.
  • Our hosting provider serves the site and processes standard request data.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

Kairos does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember your preferences, your saved jobs, your profile, and whether you have allowed analytics. If you opt into analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies.

Your choices

  • Turn analytics on or off any time using the analytics preferences link in the site footer.
  • Delete your local data by clearing your browser's site data for Kairos. This removes your profile, resume, and saved jobs.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email, or email us to have your address removed.

Data retention

Data stored in your browser stays there until you clear it. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' own retention settings.

Children

Kairos is meant for people looking for work and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page.
