Description

AMP is looking for a Materials Operations Clerk for our Commerce City location. 

This role will work closely with our facility operations, finance and business development teams. This role requires a deep interest in recycling, as well as flexibility and adaptability to the evolving needs of AMP programs, projects and organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Materials Planning 
    • Interfaces with the Customer on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments
    • Monitor material demand
    • Maintain and distribute daily/weekly run schedule
    • Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements and company financial goals
  • Inventory Management
    • Communicate with plant colleagues on inventories and anticipated production needs
    • Ensure and capture inventory accuracy of downgraded and rejected material from suppliers, in process and postproduction
    • Responsible for total inventory accuracy of 98%+ in value
    • Ensure material storage is in compliance with standards
  • Logistics
    • Oversee procedures for shipping, receiving and storing raw materials
    • Organize and manage deliveries, advise shipment delays and/or information necessary to set up deliveries. Initiate traces with carriers for proof of deliveries when needed
    • Resolve invoicing issues in cooperation with suppliers and accounts payable
    • Participate in the annual physical inventory
    • Ensure that the company’s standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions
  • General
    • Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.
    • Adheres to all company and regulatory safety standards and rules.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
    • Participate in or lead continuous improvement of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of materials management operations

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • APICS certification (e.g. CPIM) preferred

Experience: 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Salary & Compensation Information: $26.50 - $28.50 per hour

Travel Requirements: 

  • Travel as needed - up to 10% *Please note: this role requires travel.

Schedule: 

  • Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30 pm or 7am to 5:30pm
  • Occasional Fridays as needed
  • Weekends off!
