About the Role
As a Field Service & Integration Engineer (m/f/d), you are on the front line of our mission, ensuring our autonomous platforms perform flawlessly in the real world. You will be the hands-on expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and integration of our robotic systems, working directly at customer sites, test ranges, and in active field deployments.
This role is for a technical problem-solver who thrives on challenge. You will diagnose and resolve complex issues under demanding conditions, manage advanced power systems, and serve as the critical link between our field operations and engineering teams. Your work directly ensures the reliability and operational success of our technology where it matters most.
What You’ll Build
- Install, commission, and maintain our modular robotic systems at customer sites and in the field.
- Become the go-to expert for diagnosing and solving complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Integrate next-generation hardware, from advanced payloads and sensors to new communication modules.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of our high-voltage battery systems, ensuring safety and peak performance.
- Bridge the gap between field operations and R&D, providing crucial feedback to drive product improvements.
- Develop clear technical documentation and field reports that empower our teams and partners.
- Train customers and partners, turning them into expert operators of our cutting-edge technology.
What You Bring
- A strong technical foundation in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or a related discipline, gained through a degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven professional experience in a field service, technical support, or integration role involving complex machinery or robotic systems.
- Solid knowledge of high-voltage battery systems, including their management (BMS) and safety protocols.
- Expertise in electrical and electronic troubleshooting, from system wiring to communication interfaces.
- A natural, hands-on ability to build, repair, and maintain mechanical systems in demanding environments.
- An independent and proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership and solve problems in the field.
- Clear communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a valuable plus.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and across the EU to support our missions - ideally based in or around Munich.
