About the Role
Join a product engineering team building software for complex legal document workflows. You will work across backend services, AI integrations, APIs, and user-facing features, partnering with engineers and legal domain experts to make important work more reliable and practical.
What You'll Do
Build reliable APIs, backend services, and document processing workflows that support research, drafting, review, and finished work.
Take product features from technical design through release and iteration, collaborating across engineering and legal teams.
Integrate AI capabilities into practical workflows, with attention to output quality, speed, and dependable behavior.
Improve interfaces for complex document tasks and translate user needs into focused engineering plans.
Improve performance, investigate production issues, and strengthen testing, monitoring, and code quality.
What We're Looking For
Three to ten years of experience shipping and maintaining production web applications or services.
Strong programming skills in a modern language such as Python or TypeScript, with solid software design fundamentals.
Experience building APIs and backend services, and working with databases, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.
Experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into production systems and building document processing workflows.
A practical approach to testing, code review, debugging, reliability, and cross-functional collaboration.
Background in frontend development, complex data or security products, legal technology, or workflow automation is relevant.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary is $180,000 to $250,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, and role scope. Visa sponsorship is not available.
