Your Impact at LILA
Lila Sciences is hiring a Director, Enterprise Account Management, Physical Sciences to own our most strategic materials, chemicals, energy, and semiconductor relationships. You will carry a named portfolio of large enterprise accounts and be accountable for the revenue they generate, from multi-year account strategy through negotiation and close.
The platform you are selling is the world's first platform for scientific superintelligence: closed-loop AI and autonomous labs applied to materials discovery, formulation, catalysis, and process development. Your buyers are senior and technical, spanning R&D and innovation leadership, process and manufacturing science, data and AI, and corporate venture or partnership teams, with procurement and legal in the loop on every large agreement.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You will not manage a team, but you will set the standard for how Lila engages its largest physical sciences customers and will shape commercial strategy well beyond your own book, working across product, science, software, and robotics to convert platform capability into signed enterprise contracts.

- Build and execute multi-year account strategies covering expansion, whitespace, and renewal
- Establish and maintain executive relationships at the R&D leadership and C-suite level
- Lead complex, multi-quarter pursuits across R&D, process and manufacturing science, data and AI, and partnership stakeholders
- Negotiate and close large enterprise agreements, working with legal, finance, and procurement
- Maintain accurate forecasts and surface tradeoffs, priorities, and risks to Lila's leadership team
- Partner with product and science to scope high-value engagements and unblock technical inputs
- Own technical RFI and DDQ response for strategic accounts, packaging polished customer-facing deliverables
- Shape enterprise commercial strategy, including qualification standards, deal structures, and pricing input
- Translate the AI and physical sciences partnership landscape into implications for Lila's positioning

- Track record closing large, multi-quarter enterprise agreements with major materials, chemicals, energy, or semiconductor companies
- Degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, physics, or adjacent fields, or equivalent experience
- Fluency across the physical sciences R&D value chain, from discovery and formulation through scale-up
- Proven executive presence with R&D leadership and C-suite buyers
- Ability to translate AI and autonomous lab capability into credible scientific and commercial narratives
- Comfortable operating where the category, product, and commercial motion are still being defined
- Hands-on use of AI tools in daily work
Bonus Points For
- Working familiarity with AI and ML applied to physical sciences, including materials property prediction, generative materials design, high-throughput experimentation, and simulation
- Direct experience with enterprise R&D buying cycles in industrials, including joint development and partnership structures
- Prior experience at a frontier AI, advanced materials, or platform company selling to technical buyers
- Early GTM or commercial hire experience defining playbooks and deal structures
