TEAM
Toyota is redefining what it means to move. We're challenging the current state of mobility by enhancing the movement of people, goods, information and energy. Centered around three core concepts - A Living Laboratory™, Human-Centered, and Ever Evolving City™ - Woven City serves as a test course for mobility to fulfill our purpose of well-being for all.
We do this by bringing together a diverse community of people with a shared passion for the future of mobility to co-create, develop and refine innovative products and services. This cross-section of social infrastructure, mobility, and people provides a unique opportunity for inventors, residents and visitors to interact seamlessly with new technologies throughout daily life in an environment that emulates a real city.
The Department Operations Project Manager belongs to the Operation Management Office (OMO). The OMO is part of the Inventor Acceleration & Service (IA&S) Department within Woven City Management. Reporting directly to the Department Head, OMO is a team responsible for establishing and strengthening the operational foundation for the IA&S Department as a whole. IA&S provides comprehensive acceleration and hands-on support to Inventor companies conducting demonstrations and trials in Woven City. This support spans the full lifecycle—from planning and execution of demonstrations to service utilization and issue resolution.
OMO supports the Department Head’s decision-making and enhances the quality, speed, and repeatability of execution across the Department. It does so through cross-functional management practices, including management rhythm, OKR/KPI management, cross-functional coordination, and governance.
In addition to operating the organization, OMO plays a critical role in connecting the Voice of Customer (VOC) gathered from Inventors and on-site operations to the Department’s strategy and continuous improvement initiatives. Through these efforts, OMO helps continuously enhance the services delivered in Woven City.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Rather than simply operating established processes, this role requires gathering the necessary information from across and outside the Department, structuring key issues, engaging relevant stakeholders, and translating insights into decisions and actions.
We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complex, multi-functional environments involving diverse stakeholders—identifying the core issues, determining who needs to make decisions, and defining the next steps needed to move execution forward.
This role will also contribute to transforming the Voice of Customer (VOC) collected from Inventors and on-site operations into meaningful improvements. Rather than treating VOC as isolated feedback, the Assistant Manager will help structure issues, prioritize opportunities, and connect them to concrete continuous improvement actions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
・Support decision-making and action execution by planning and operating key Department meetings, OKR/KPI management, and various management processes
・Identify and organize issues, dependencies, and priorities across multiple functions and stakeholders, driving cross-functional alignment and execution
・Support the development of an efficient and repeatable operating foundation by establishing and improving Department governance, management tools, processes, and information aggregation practices
・Contribute to the visibility of key business operating metrics—including budget versus actual performance, revenue, and profitability—through Department budget optimization activities
2. Continuous Improvement PDCA Based on Voice of Customer
・Collect and organize Voice of Customer (VOC) input and other relevant evidence from Inventors and associated stakeholders to identify and visualize service and operational issues
・Analyze and prioritize issues, and perform the management activities needed to translate them into concrete continuous improvement actions, including coordination with existing initiatives and appropriate escalation where required
・Collaborate with stakeholders to track action progress and develop mechanisms that enable ongoing feedback and continuous improvement
In addition to the responsibilities above, this role will work closely with the Department Head and OMO Leader and may take on a broad range of responsibilities depending on business needs, including advancing Department strategy, organizational operations, and critical initiatives.
