Sr. Engineer, Mechanical (Tooling Manager)

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and validation of manufacturing tools and processes for high-performance computing hardware, including PCIe cards, multi-chip server assemblies, and thermal and mechanical modules. You will drive tooling programs from concept through mass production, ensuring precision, manufacturability, repeatability, and alignment with product requirements. Working closely with mechanical and PCB engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites, you will help deliver scalable tooling solutions that improve yield, quality, cost, and production efficiency.

This role is hybrid, based out of Taipei, Taiwan.

Who You Are

• A hands-on tooling or manufacturing engineer who enjoys taking complex hardware programs from early concepts through validation, commissioning, and mass production.
• A detail-oriented problem solver with a strong understanding of precision manufacturing, mechanical requirements, tolerance analysis, and process capability.
• A collaborative technical partner who can work effectively with mechanical engineering, PCB engineering, suppliers, manufacturing sites, and international teams.
• A program-minded engineer who can manage tooling documentation, supplier deliverables, validation activities, and lifecycle improvement initiatives.
• A technical leader who can mentor junior engineers and drive clear, practical decisions in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

What We Need

• Expertise in injection molding, die casting, sheet metal stamping, progressive die design, tooling fabrication, commissioning, and validation.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawing creation, tool validation methods, capacity studies, process capability analysis, and DFM/DFA principles.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and familiarity with PLM systems; experience with Moldflow, Minitab, DOE, Gage R&R, or other Six Sigma tools is a significant plus.
• Experience managing international suppliers and offshore tooling projects, along with fluent Mandarin and English communication skills and a willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
