About Boltz

Boltz is a public benefit company building the next generation of AI-powered molecular modelling tools to make biology programmable and accelerate drug discovery, while keeping frontier capabilities broadly accessible.
Boltz-1, Boltz-2, and BoltzGen are open models used by more than 100,000 scientists across biotech and academia, and in research programmes across leading pharmaceutical, agrichemical, and industrial organisations.

We deliver these capabilities through BoltzLab, our platform for running our latest models and design agents as reliable, production-grade tools. BoltzLab is built around real chemistry and biology workflows, enabling teams to start with a target and hypothesis and rapidly generate, evaluate, and rank candidate molecules.

About the role

We’re looking for an exceptional operator to join the Talent & Operations team at Boltz.

You’ll help us hire great people, create a thoughtful employee experience, and improve the systems that keep the company running as we grow.

This is a broad, high-ownership role for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, moving quickly, and turning messy or manual processes into simple, effective ones. You’ll work across talent, people, and company operations, taking ownership of important projects while helping build the foundations Boltz needs for its next stage of growth.
We’re looking for someone with strong judgement, high standards, and a bias towards action - someone who gets energy from helping a talented team do its best work.

What you’ll do

You’ll work closely with the team across areas including:

  • Talent: Help us find and hire exceptional people, from sourcing and candidate outreach through to interview processes, candidate experience, offers, and onboarding.
  • People Operations: Help make joining and working at Boltz thoughtful, organised, and low-friction. Improve onboarding, internal processes, and the overall employee experience.
  • Company Operations: Take ownership of operational projects and day-to-day problems that don’t fit neatly into one function, making sure important things get done.
  • Building for scale: Identify processes that are manual, unclear, or inefficient and create lightweight systems that improve them without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

The exact shape of the role will evolve as Boltz grows, and there will be significant scope to take on more responsibility over time.

Who we’re looking for

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are a strong operator who gets things done quickly and to a high standard.
  • Have excellent judgement and can be trusted with sensitive information and important decisions.
  • Are highly organised and able to create structure without needing lots of it around you.
  • Communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally.
  • Care deeply about people and candidate experience while remaining commercially minded.
  • Are comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Enjoy working in fast-moving environments where priorities can change.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and follow through reliably.
  • Are resourceful and proactive - when you don’t know how to do something, you work it out.
  • Look for ways to make things simpler, faster, and better rather than accepting existing processes as fixed.

Experience in talent, recruiting, people operations, startups, or general operations is useful, but we care more about trajectory, judgement, pace, and ownership than whether you’ve followed a particular career path.

What success looks like

Within your first few months, you’ll have become someone the team relies on.
Our hiring processes will be sharper and more consistent. Candidates and new joiners will have an excellent experience. Operational loose ends will get closed quickly. Recurring processes will run reliably, and important projects will move forward because you’re driving them.

You’ll also begin identifying areas where better systems, processes, or ownership can help the company operate more effectively as it grows.

Over time, there is significant scope to shape both the role itself and how Talent & Operations works at Boltz.

Why Boltz

You’ll join Boltz at an important stage of the company’s growth and work closely with the team building it.
You’ll have real ownership, exposure to decisions across the business, and the opportunity to have an outsized impact on both the team we build and the company we become.

We care about working with exceptional people, moving quickly, solving important problems, and maintaining a very high bar without creating unnecessary process.

If that sounds like the kind of environment you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.
