Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You own brand revenue. This is a hunter role. You will own a portfolio of global brand advertisers across APAC — winning new spend, reactivating lapsed or dormant accounts, and expanding existing partnerships. You are the commercial owner for your book of business: strategy, relationships, pipeline, and revenue.
You will work as a trusted advisor to brand marketers and their agency partners, building consultative, insight-led programs that put X at the center of both brand and performance plans. You will work as a peer with the Agency Development and X Cross Functional Teams — close partnership, distinct ownership. This role reports to the Head of Global Brands, APAC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and grow revenue across an assigned Global Brands portfolio in APAC. Hit and exceed quarterly and annual targets through new business, expansion, renewals, and reactivation.
  • Hunt. Build a disciplined pipeline of net-new and returning advertisers. Prioritize client reactivation — bringing lapsed and under-invested global brands back onto the platform with a clear commercial plan.
  • Establish and deepen relationships with marketing decision-makers at global brands and with the agencies that plan and buy for them (media, creative, social, and holding-company stakeholders).
  • Build and deliver consultative sales presentations, QBRs, and joint business plans that connect client objectives to X’s advertising products, audiences, and measurement — in rooms from brand manager to CMO.
  • Help advertisers design, launch, and optimize campaigns; measure results; and convert proof into larger, more sustained commitments.
  • Partner with agencies without outsourcing the sale. You own the client outcome even when the buy sits with a holding company or local shop.
  • Bring market fluency. Know how decisions get made in Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, and Delhi — and adjust the motion accordingly.
  • Partner tightly with Agency Development, Client Solutions, Marketing, Content Parternships and regional market teams to remove friction and create incremental revenue.
  • Stay fluent in the evolving social and digital landscape, X product developments, and competitor activity so you can lead the conversation — not follow it.
  • Represent X at client meetings, industry events, and in-market reviews across SEA and India.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Driven, commercially hungry, and comfortable being measured on revenue. Hunter mentality is non-negotiable.
  • 7–10+ years in digital ad sales, ad tech, or martech, with a proven record of growing a book of business against quota.
  • Deep working knowledge of both the SEA and India advertising markets — how brands plan, how agencies buy, and where decisions actually get made. You have sold in these markets, not just visited them. Relationships may be stronger in one market; fluency must cover both.
  • Existing, active relationships with global brand clients and their agencies across SEA and India. You can open doors in week one.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills. You can hold a room with a CMO, a regional marketing director, and a working-level planner — and leave with a next step.
  • Experience reactivating dormant, paused, or under-penetrated clients is strongly preferred. You know how to diagnose why spend left and how to win it back.
  • Experience working both direct-to-brand and through agency structures.
  • Self-directed, organized, and effective in a small, high-output team. You do not wait to be told what to sell next.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time across Southeast Asia and India.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior platform, publisher, social, ad tech, or martech sales experience.
  • Fluency across brand and performance buying.
  • Additional SEA or Hindi language capability.
  • Experience with joint business plans, annual commitments, or multi-market brand coordination.
