About Civ Robotics

Civ Robotics develops geospatial automation solutions that help construction and solar teams complete layout work more accurately and efficiently. Our technology combines precision positioning, software, and automated field equipment to simplify repetitive tasks and help customers get more done on their job sites.
As we grow our presence in Texas, we’re building a local support operation to provide customers with accessible training, responsive technical support, and reliable equipment.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Geospatial Support & Operations Manager to help build our Houston support operation. You’ll be a go-to resource for customers, helping them get started with our systems, understand the right workflows, troubleshoot day-to-day issues, and use our technology confidently in the field.
This role combines geospatial product knowledge, customer training and support, and day-to-day operational ownership. Alongside supporting customers remotely and on-site, you’ll coordinate equipment readiness, inventory, shipments, returns, and replacements.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers adopt technical products and taking ownership of a local operation as it grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Own day-to-day customer support. Help customers resolve questions and issues related to system setup, positioning, software workflows, and equipment use. Keep customers informed and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Deliver customer training and onboarding. Train operators and customer teams remotely and at job sites, explaining how to set up, operate, and troubleshoot our systems in their daily work.
  • Apply geospatial knowledge in the field. Help customers understand how our technology fits into their surveying, positioning, and construction-layout workflows, and identify setup or operational issues that affect successful use.
  • Coordinate advanced support and equipment replacements. Gather clear information about issues, document troubleshooting steps, and escalate mechanical or advanced technical problems to Engineering and Level 2 support. Arrange swaps or replacements when appropriate.
  • Run the local support operation. Maintain organized equipment and inventory records, track available and returned units, and coordinate shipping, receiving, and customer deployment needs.
  • Maintain equipment readiness and quality. Perform standard setup, functionality, and readiness checks using established procedures before equipment is shipped or provided to customers.
  • Improve support processes and documentation. Maintain support records, develop practical troubleshooting guides and training materials, and help establish consistent operating procedures for the Houston location.
  • Partner across the business. Work with Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering to support customer handoffs, equip customer-facing teammates to handle routine field tasks, and share feedback that improves our products and service.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant experience with geospatial technology, surveying, GNSS/GPS positioning, construction layout, machine control, or closely related technical products.
  • Experience providing customer-facing technical support, product training, applications support, or equipment onboarding.
  • The ability to troubleshoot systematically, distinguish setup or user-workflow issues from problems requiring advanced support, and communicate clear findings to the right team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to customers with different levels of experience.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage support requests, equipment readiness, inventory, and daily operational priorities.
  • A practical, service-oriented approach: comfortable working independently, supporting customers under pressure, and taking ownership without needing a rigid process for every situation.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Houston and travel to customer locations for training and support, with a valid driver’s license.

What You’ll Get

  • A high-impact role in a fast-growing robotics startup.
  • Opportunity to shape customer experience and influence product roadmap through field feedback.
  • Competitive salary + performance-based incentives.
  • Equity / stock options.
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits.
