Description

In This Role

The Manager, Partner Sales will lead a team responsible for driving revenue growth across a portfolio of strategic technology partners. This role combines people leadership, portfolio strategy, sales operations, and executive relationship management. You will establish the coverage model, allocate goals, inspect pipeline performance, and ensure sellers have the insights, offers, and deal support needed to increase partner effectiveness.

Success requires a structured, data-driven leader who can develop quota-carrying sellers, improve operational consistency, and deliver revenue through partner sales organizations. You will also help design new partner programs, strengthen reporting and lead-management processes, and represent business performance, risks, and investment needs to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of partner sellers responsible for a portfolio of strategic technology partners.
  • Own aggregate portfolio revenue, year-over-year growth, pipeline coverage, and overall team attainment.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, development plans, onboarding processes, and consistent one-on-one coaching.
  • Allocate goals and resources across the partner portfolio based on opportunity, capacity, and business priorities.
  • Develop portfolio strategies and coverage models that improve seller productivity and partner revenue performance.
  • Lead weekly pipeline reviews, lead follow-up inspections, and monthly business reviews.
  • Monitor pipeline coverage, opportunity aging, conversion rates, lead response times, and account coverage.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions to improve coverage, execution, and revenue attainment.
  • Equip partner-facing sellers with prioritized account lists, customer insights, relevant offers, standardized sales plays, and deal support.
  • Build executive relationships with partner sales leadership and align stakeholders around joint growth priorities.
  • Manage escalations requiring senior-level engagement, cross-functional coordination, or investment approval.
  • Present performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior internal and partner stakeholders.
  • Oversee lead-management rules, closed-loop reporting, quote activity, and other operational processes supporting sales execution.
  • Guide analytics and business intelligence investments toward actionable account targeting and performance insights.
  • Help develop new technology sales programs and partner motions in evolving or ambiguous business environments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, collaboration, and shared learning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant sales, partner, channel, or business leadership experience, including demonstrated people-management responsibility.
  • Experience leading and developing quota-carrying sales professionals.
  • Proven success delivering revenue growth through teams and partner organizations.
  • Experience managing a portfolio-level revenue target, sales pipeline, forecasting process, and coverage model.
  • Strong background in channel or partner sales within technology, commercial IT, devices, hardware, or a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of deal registration, quoting, special pricing, partner incentives, and reseller or alliance agreements.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience evaluating pipeline coverage, attainment, conversion, propensity, and return on investment.
  • Ability to build structured processes and maintain consistent operational and performance-management rhythms.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and program-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple partners, priorities, and escalations in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading sales through indirect, reseller, distributor, or alliance-based channels.
  • Experience in device, hardware, commercial IT, or enterprise technology sales.
  • Demonstrated success designing or improving partner coverage and goal-allocation models.
  • Experience launching new channel programs, sales motions, or partner initiatives from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled sales programs or emerging technology solutions.
  • Experience using business intelligence, forecasting, and analytics tools to prioritize accounts and guide seller activity.
  • Knowledge of closed-loop lead management, quote operations, and standardized performance reporting.
  • Experience managing executive-level partner relationships and joint business plans.
  • Track record of improving seller ramp time, capability, retention, and percentage of team members attaining quota.
