🎯 The role: Head of AI Delivery Operations
You are the deepest expert at Supersonik on what makes a great agent, and on how to build the team that builds them. You will lead and scale the Forward Deployed Engineering function, own delivery velocity and quality across every agent in production, and codify the playbook that defines what good looks like. For the first six months, you are a player-coach: personally rolling up your sleeves on the hardest agents while simultaneously building the team around you.
The Position
- Operations leader who has scaled and managed large frontline or technical teams at high-growth companies (Glovo, Uber, Zendesk, Flexport or similar)
- Uses data dashboards and operational tooling daily to monitor team performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive output quality across many people
- Comfortable owning delivery metrics, SLAs, and quality standards at scale
- Player-coach for the first six months: personally handling the most complex agent builds while building the team around them
- Owns the FDE hiring funnel, ramp process, and IC performance framework
- Codifies what good looks like: the Supersonik agent playbook, anti-patterns, and quality benchmarks
- Acts as the feedback loop between delivery and Engineering: surfacing patterns, priorities, and platform gaps
- Technical enough to read code, prompt LLMs, and understand integrations, but not a software engineer
Must-haves
- 5+ years managing large operational or technical delivery teams (10+ ICs)
- Experience running operations through dashboards and data, not gut feel
- Track record of building ramp programmes that scaled with team growth
- Proven ability to hire, develop, and performance-manage at pace
