Description

About the Role

Join the core engineering team of an early-stage AI startup as a Full-Stack Developer, building scalable web applications that power an AI-driven product. You'll work closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to ship features end-to-end — from initial concept through to customers — in a high-impact environment where your contributions directly shape the platform.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across the full stack.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to bring new features to life.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a focus on quality and longevity.

  • Participate actively in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback.

  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technology roadmap, particularly around AI capabilities.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Engineer or in a similar role building and shipping web applications.

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Go).

  • Experience with a modern frontend framework such as Vue.js, React, Angular, or Svelte.

  • Experience with a backend language or framework such as Python, Node.js, Java, Go, or C#.

  • Strong grasp of software engineering principles, design patterns, and architectural decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, tested code and engage meaningfully in code reviews.

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging issues in production systems.

  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.

  • Interest in or experience with AI-related technologies or machine learning frameworks is a plus.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.

  • Open-source contributions or a personal project portfolio are a plus.

  • Willingness to relocate to Berlin, Germany — visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid — Berlin, Germany. This role requires relocation to Berlin and is primarily on-site (approximately 70% on-site, 30% remote).
