Role Overview
We're looking for a Targeted Recruiting Specialist to own the contributor acquisition funnel — from sourcing the right technical profiles to getting them through onboarding and onto their first completed task. This is an operational role at its core: you'll build and run the systems, channels, and processes that let us recruit at scale, reliably and quickly.
The right person is execution-oriented, thinks in funnels, and is comfortable with ambiguity. You won't just manage job postings — you'll own the full pipeline infrastructure, diagnose conversion problems, manage external sourcing partners, and make sure the right candidates get to the right projects with minimal friction.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work closely with the broader Growth team and directly with recruiters to set priorities and drive execution.
This role entails:
Funnel Ownership
- Own all active and evergreen job funnels end-to-end — from posting to first completed task
- Track conversion at every funnel stage, identify drop-off points, and implement fixes
- Support AI interview gates and fasttracks — ensure they're running smoothly and converting qualified candidates
- Build and own the intake-to-execution process for new sourcing requests — so that when a new project spins up, the recruiting pipeline is ready
Sourcing & Partnerships
- Manage relationships with BPOs and external sourcing partners — evaluate quality, negotiate terms, and hold them accountable to targets
- Write and manage evergreen job postings across LinkedIn and other relevant channels
- Explore and test non-conventional sourcing channels — communities, academic partnerships, niche forums — to find what converts best for technical profiles
Quality & Coordination
- Vouch for the quality of incoming recruits and ensure headcount targets are met per project
- Work closely with recruiters to prioritize open roles and coordinate execution
- Collaborate with the Community team to align on what a high-quality recruit looks like and build screening processes that filter for it upstream
What You Bring
- Operationally sharp — you build systems and processes, not ad hoc workflows, and you think in funnels naturally
- Experienced in recruiting ops, workforce planning, or growth operations — you've owned a pipeline and hit targets
- Data-driven — you track funnel metrics, know where things break, and fix them systematically
- A strong executor who's comfortable with ambiguity and works well independently
- Creative about sourcing — you don't just post on LinkedIn; you find the pockets where the right people actually are
- Excellent written communicator — you can write a job posting that converts and a sourcing message that gets replies
- Background in high-volume or technical recruiting, staffing operations, or marketplace supply growth preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience managing BPO or external sourcing partnerships
- Familiarity with AI interview tools or automated screening workflows
- Comfort with data and funnel analytics — able to build your own dashboards and identify conversion issues independently
- Exposure to technical recruiting (STEM, software engineering, ML/AI) or gig/freelance platform supply-side
- Interest in AI and the model training space
Why Join Us
- High-ownership role — you'll build the recruiting infrastructure for a 2.7M-person contributor network from the ground up
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where you do your best thinking
- Freelance autonomy with measurable, direct impact on the business
- Collaborate with a sharp, fast-moving team at the frontier of AI development
- IC role for now, with meaningful visibility and room to grow as the team scales
