Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.
Job Overview
We are seeking an Enterprise Technology Intern to help bring AI and Automation to Saronic's enterprise software. You will work directly with our team of business system analysts and developers to design, build, and ship AI agents, automations, and the frameworks that make our entire enterprise technology organization faster. You will learn how AI and production business systems come together at a rapidly growing defense technology company. This internship will allow you to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting and contribute to projects that provide value across Saronic.
This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a related field with an interest in agentic AI, and eager to make an impact in the defense technology industry.
Responsibilities
Build copilots, automation, and internal tooling that increase software delivery efficiency across Enterprise Technology - accelerating how work is specified, built, tested, documented, and shipped
Advance spec-driven development by helping the team write clear, structured specifications - intent, requirements, and acceptance criteria - that both engineers and AI agents build from to validate generated implementation
Develop reusable agent skills and tools for improved capabilities and scalability across the organization
Connect agents to enterprise tools, data, and actions through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to build and wire servers and connectors enabling AI to operate across business workflows
Drive AI adoption and productivity across Saronic by identifying high-value use cases, prototyping agents and copilots that remove manual work, and helping teams put them into daily use
Help make enterprise AI and automation safe and reliable by establishing the guardrails production needs - evaluations, monitoring, logging and observability, error handling, access controls, and responsible data handling - appropriate to a defense technology environment
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a related field
Solid programming fundamentals, and comfort reading and writing code
A genuine interest in agentic AI and some hands-on exposure to LLMs - prompting, tool and function calling, or building against an LLM API
Working understanding of APIs (REST/JSON) and how software systems integrate
Clear written communication and the ability to document your work
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
