About the Role
Join a well-funded, early-stage startup bringing AI agents to a highly specialised professional services industry. This is a hands-on, end-to-end engineering role: you will design, build, ship, and continuously improve production AI agents that automate repetitive, high-value workflows for real customers. You will work directly with those customers, translate what you observe into reliable automations, and own everything from prototype to production monitoring.
The team moves fast, values measurable impact, and expects every engineer to take full ownership of the problems they pick up.
What You'll Do
Convert observed customer workflows into autonomous AI agents that perform work end-to-end.
Collaborate directly with customers to understand their operations, surface automation opportunities, and iterate on solutions.
Ship automations that replace hours of manual, repetitive effort and demonstrably improve user efficiency.
Own production AI agents across their full lifecycle: build, deploy, monitor, and improve.
Run structured experiments with new models, prompting techniques, and use cases; benchmark results and ship what works.
Design thoughtful AI × Human interfaces that make automation practical and trustworthy for professional users.
Instrument systems with observability tooling — metrics, dashboards, and alerts — to ensure reliability at scale.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves (dealbreakers):
5+ years of experience in ML/AI product development, with a strong track record of building and delivering production-grade AI agents.
Demonstrated experience shipping LLM-based systems in production (not just prototypes).
Proven end-to-end ownership of production AI agents: build → deploy → monitor → improve.
Required skills & experience:
Strong Python programming skills; comfortable shipping production-quality Python code.
Experience turning observed real-world workflows into deployable AI automations.
Ability to gather requirements directly from customers and translate them into working software.
Product-minded approach — you think about the user experience, not just the model performance.
Nice to have:
Experience designing AI interfaces for human-AI collaboration.
Systematic experimentation and benchmarking of models and techniques.
Observability and monitoring experience for AI systems (metrics, dashboards, alerting).
Background in or exposure to professional services, fintech, or compliance-heavy industries.
Location
This role is on-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Munich office. Visa sponsorship is not available — applicants must already have the right to work in Germany.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation details were not specified for this role. You will be joining an early-stage, seed-funded startup where equity upside and direct impact are significant parts of the overall package. Specifics will be discussed during the interview process.
