About the Role
We're a fast-growing, early-stage AI-powered SaaS startup in the customer communications space, looking for a Founding Account Executive to lead our US go-to-market efforts. This is a rare opportunity to join a small, high-conviction team at the ground floor — owning the full sales motion from zero, closing the first US customers, and building a repeatable playbook that scales.
You'll work directly alongside the founding team, collaborating closely with marketing and engineering. Over the first 6–12 months, you'll be expected to grow into the primary US owner and potentially hire and lead a local team.
Please note: This role requires on-site presence in Vienna, Austria for an initial 3–6 month onboarding period. Relocation support or a remote setup may be arranged afterward. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What You'll Do
Drive the initial US launch — build localized landing pages, messaging, and basic tracking with support from the marketing team.
Win the first customers by running discovery calls, demos, and closing early-stage deals.
Convert early learnings into a repeatable sales motion and GTM playbook for the US market.
Identify, pitch, and enable local partner channels; build co-selling programs from scratch.
Own customer success for initial accounts: onboard, support, and capture structured feedback to inform product and positioning.
Collaborate cross-functionally with the founding team, marketing, and engineering to move fast and iterate.
Scale the role over 6–12 months — becoming the lead US owner with potential to build and manage a local team.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
Native English speaker.
Ex-founder/operator background, or strong experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or growth at a high-growth SaaS startup.
Proven track record running early-stage GTM for the US market: discovery, demos, deal-closing, and building repeatable sales motions.
Experience building and activating partner channels and co-selling programs.
Experience onboarding and supporting customers and translating feedback into product/positioning improvements.
Experience creating localized demand-gen assets (landing pages, messaging, basic analytics/tracking).
Ownership mentality, self-starter mindset, and strong cross-functional communication skills.
Willingness to relocate to Vienna for 3–6 months for onboarding and team kickoff.
Nice to have:
Experience selling AI or SaaS solutions to US SMBs; domain knowledge in AI-powered communications.
Prior experience in a small, fast-paced startup with marketing/product collaboration.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales funnel analytics.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 USD annually
