Business Analyst

We’re looking for an exceptional and strategic Business Analyst to join Torq. This is a high-impact opportunity to take ownership of our business analytics, provide a trusted view of company performance, and help steer key strategic decisions. influence key strategic decisions.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff and working closely with the CEO, you’ll operate across the organization, understand what the business needs, identify opportunities, and turn complex data into clear insights and actions. We’re looking for someone who can connect the dots, create clarity in ambiguous situations, and tell a compelling story with numbers - not just build reports.

What Will You Do?

• Serve as a strategic analytical partner to the CEO and the Chief of Staff.
• Establish a reliable single source of truth and create a shared business language across the company.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, RevOps, Finance,and other teams to understand their needs, validate data, and connect insights across the business.
• Translate broad and complex business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.
• Proactively identify trends, gaps, risks, and new business opportunities.
• Turn complex data into clear stories that explain what is happening, why it matters, and what the business should do next.
• Build dashboards and analytical frameworks that support ongoing decision-making and strategic planning.
• Prepare insights, presentations, and recommendations for executive discussions.
• Lead analytical initiatives independently, from identifying the opportunity and gathering the relevant data to presenting recommendations and driving action.
• Use SQL, Looker, BigQuery, Claude, and other AI tools to improve analytical workflows and scale the impact of the function.

What Should You Bring to the Table?

• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a strategic, business-oriented analytical role.
• Experience working in a B2B technology company.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building dashboards and analyzing complex datasets.
• Experience with Looker and BigQuery is an advantage.
• Strong business understanding and the ability to see the broader picture behind the data.
• A proven ability to identify business needs and opportunities proactively.
• Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate insights to executive audiences.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to create structure in ambiguous situations and take full ownership of initiatives.
• A proven experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and improve decision-making.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.
