About the Role
This is a rare opportunity for an early-career product manager to work at the frontier of AI infrastructure — building tools used daily by developers and AI teams at the world's most ambitious companies.
Inspired by Google’s APM program and other cornerstone programs, APMs at Fireworks will receive mentorship from experienced PMs while also getting rotations across both Fireworks’ product areas and tasks (platform product, forward-deployment and strategic projects).
This role is designed to help you develop the foundational skills of a start-up product leader: rigorous thinking, user empathy, technical depth, and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping shape their GenAI strategy using Fireworks infrastructure.
- Partner with engineering, design, and data science teams to define, build, and ship product features across the Fireworks platform — from API tooling to model fine-tuning workflows to inference infrastructure
- Engage directly with customers from fast-moving startups to large enterprises, to identify use cases and convert interest into long-term usage and expansion
- Partner with GTM functions like sales and marketing to evangelize new products to customers and throughout the Fireworks org
Minimum Requirements
- You recently graduated (or are about to) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Less than 2 years of professional experience (this role is designed for early-career candidates).
- Curiosity about AI, LLMs, and developer tooling. You've been vibe coding constantly and building with AI APIs
- Clear written and verbal communication - You’ll be interacting directly with customers and need to explain technical tradeoffs to them
- Strong analytical skills and user empathy
- Deep hunger and motivation. This isn’t a 9-5 job and you’ll be expected to step up, especially during periods of “wartime”
- Comfortability with ambiguity and energized by fast-moving environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML infrastructure: inference serving, fine-tuning pipelines, embeddings, or agent frameworks.
- Prior internship or project experience in product management, software engineering, or data science.
- Familiarity with developer-focused products and an understanding of what makes a great API or SDK experience.
