The Role: Strategic Sales Development Representative
As a Strategic SDR, you own outbound engagement for a defined list of named strategic accounts, the largest and most complex firms in our pipeline. This is not a volume game. You'll run deep account research, build multithreaded relationships across decision-makers, and partner directly with our Strategic Account Executives to open and advance opportunities. This is a role for an experienced SDR who wants to operate closer to enterprise-style selling with a clear path to a full sales cycle role.
What You'll Do
- Own a named-account book: Manage outbound strategy and execution for a defined set of strategic accounts, with full ownership of engagement within rules of engagement.
- Account-based prospecting: Research firm structure, key stakeholders, case portfolios, and buying signals to build tailored, multi-channel outreach across email, phone, LinkedIn, and events.
- Multithread: Engage multiple decision-makers and influencers within each account, from managing partners to operations leaders, and map the buying committee.
- Partner with Strategic AEs: Work in lockstep with the Strategic AE team on account plans, event outreach, and opportunity handoff, with clean qualification against our PIF standard.
- Coordinate with marketing: Align outreach with ABM campaigns and field events targeting strategic accounts.
- Qualify & discover: Run discovery conversations that uncover pain, interest, and fit at a depth that sets AEs up to win.
- Hit your goals: Consistently achieve monthly targets for qualified meetings and opportunities created within your account book.
What We're Looking For
- Proven SDR experience: You've carried and hit an SDR quota, ideally in B2B SaaS. You know how to prospect and now want to go deeper, not wider.
- Research depth: You enjoy understanding a business before you reach out, and your outreach shows it.
- Executive presence: You're comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, including managing partners and firm leadership.
- Patience with persistence: Strategic accounts move slower. You can run long, structured cadences without losing momentum or discipline.
- Collaboration: You work within rules of engagement, communicate proactively with AEs, and put team outcomes first.
- Curiosity and coachability: You ask sharp questions, seek feedback, and implement it fast.
What Success Looks Like
- First 30 Days: Master our product, value proposition, PIF qualification standard, and your named-account list. Account plans drafted for your top-tier accounts with Strategic AE alignment.
- 60 Days: Active multithreaded engagement across your book. Consistently booking qualified meetings with strategic accounts.
- 90 Days: Key contributor to strategic pipeline, exceeding monthly meeting targets with clean qualification and attribution.
- 12 Months: Based on performance, on track for promotion to a full sales cycle role or senior strategic development position.
