Description

About the Role

As a Senior Test Engineer at ARX Robotics, you are central to our mission. You will be responsible for the verification and validation of our advanced autonomous ground systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational effectiveness.

Working at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI, you will design and execute the tests that certify our technology is ready for real-world military and government applications. This role is a unique opportunity to directly shape the quality and performance of Europe's leading robotic systems.

What You’ll Build

  • Comprehensive test strategies for our GEREON UGV platform and Mithra OS, covering everything from hardware to software.
  • A robust testing framework by conducting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and critical field-level tests.
  • Assurance of system integrity through functional, integration, regression, performance, and safety testing.
  • Advanced test environments, including simulations, physical test rigs, and dedicated outdoor test fields.
  • Strong collaboration with systems, software, and hardware engineers to ensure requirements are verified and traceable.
  • An efficient defect tracking process to support root cause analysis and validate resolutions.
  • The evolution of our V&V processes, ensuring compliance with key defense and safety standards.
  • Clear and concise test reports in German and English for both internal and customer-facing stakeholders.
  • The next generation of talent by mentoring junior engineers and advancing the team’s capabilities.

What You Bring

  • Native-level German and fluent English communication skills, which are essential for our customer and stakeholder reporting.
  • Over five years of experience in test engineering for complex, mission-critical systems in industries like defense, aerospace, automotive, or robotics.
  • A solid background in testing embedded systems, real-time software, and integrated hardware-software products.
  • Familiarity with requirements-based testing and traceability tools such as DOORS or Jama.
  • Experience in test automation and scripting using Python, Robot Framework, or similar languages.
  • A good understanding of communication protocols like CAN bus or ROS/ROS2 is a strong plus.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for ensuring product quality in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
