  • Role: Software Support Engineer

  • Experience Level: 1- 4 Years

  • Work location: Trivandrum

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support for cloud infrastructure (VMs, storage, networking, GKE) and applications, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.

  • Analyze logs and metrics to diagnose performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and application failures.

  • Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and internal tools (Python/Go) to streamline operations, incident response, and infrastructure management.

  • Contribute directly to application codebase improvements (e.g., FastAPI, observability, reliability, performance).

  • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities for cloud infrastructure and applications.

  • Participate in on-call rotations, performing root cause analysis and implementing code-based preventative measures.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure operational excellence, scalability, and reliability in new features.

  • Drive continuous improvement through proactive monitoring, performance optimization, cost management, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

  • Document technical tasks, procedures, and developed solutions for knowledge transfer and consistent operation.

  • Must Have skills:
  • Cloud & Infrastructure:
  • Strong experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Monitoring, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python) for automation and system management.

  • Understanding of service-oriented architecture and cloud design patterns.

  • Backend Development & Reliability:
  • Hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI) for API development, debugging, and performance optimization.

  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and message queues (Pub/Sub, Kafka) for data investigation and building resilient systems.

  • Expertise in analyzing logs and metrics (Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring) to diagnose issues and implementing observability features within application code.

  • Frontend Development & Support:
  • Experience with TypeScript/Angular (and/or Flutter) for frontend development, debugging, and troubleshooting UI/API integration issues.

  • Ability to diagnose and propose code-based solutions for common frontend problems.

  • DevOps & Automation:
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines (ADO CI/CD, Cloud Build).

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for managing cloud resources.

  • Proven ability to develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

  • General Engineering & Support:
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, able to articulate complex technical issues and solutions.

  • Ability to work under pressure, resolve critical incidents, and drive long-term improvements through code.

  • Strong documentation skills (runbooks, incident reports, technical designs).

  • Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing preventative measures via code/automation.
