About the Role
Join an early-stage industrial energy management software company as its founding sales hire. You will take ownership of sales for a live AI-powered platform that helps industrial businesses manage energy procurement, forecasts, and flexible consumption.
What You'll Do
Close new business with industrial companies across the DACH region, from upper-mid-market groups to large enterprises.
Own the full sales cycle, including outbound prospecting, discovery, demos, business cases, pilots, procurement, security reviews, and contracts.
Build and manage relationships across buying committees, including energy procurement, plant operations, finance, IT, and executive stakeholders.
Generate pipeline through German and English outreach, events, and partner channels.
Expand customer relationships across use cases and sites, and develop customers into references.
Build repeatable sales processes and share customer feedback on pricing, product, and target segments with company leadership.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of B2B sales experience, including 2 or more years owning full-cycle deals.
Experience independently closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise or upper-mid-market deals, typically with €50,000 to €200,000 ACV or comparable complexity.
A record of building outbound pipeline and establishing sales structure, including CRM practices, account plans, qualification, and forecasting.
Experience selling technical products with long sales cycles, preferably at an early-stage company without an established sales playbook.
Native or C1-level German proficiency, spoken and written, and professional English skills.
Strong evidence of exceptional performance, such as a strong academic background, experience at a high-growth startup, or an equivalent track record.
Experience with pilots, proofs of value, or land-and-expand sales is valuable. Background in industrial, manufacturing, energy, climate technology, AI, or SaaS is also relevant.
Based in Munich or Nuremberg, or willing to relocate to one of these cities.
