Description

About Us

Foundry Robotics is building an AI-native robotics manufacturing company focused on deploying advanced assembly and production capability for leading robotics companies and national-security-critical hardware. Basically, we're building robots that build robots.

We are reimagining manufacturing through advanced robotics. Our mission is to rebuild the American manufacturing industry as an AI-first, assembly-focused, dual-use contract manufacturer. We aim to empower manufacturers with intelligent, efficient, and adaptable robotic systems that redefine productivity and quality. As a senior leader on our manufacturing team, you will have a direct and significant impact on our product, culture, and ultimate success. This role is 100% in-person at our office in Emeryville, CA.

The Role

Our conferences and events are currently run by whoever has capacity. That has worked, and it has cost us: no one owns the calendar, no one owns the booth, and no one can say what any of it returned. This role takes all of it.

You will own the event program end to end — which shows we attend, what we bring, who we meet, and what came of it. You will run the logistics yourself, and you will be the person who can answer "was that show worth it?" with numbers rather than impressions.

This is a junior role with real surface area. When the event calendar is quiet, you will spend your time on social and content alongside our Social Media & Brand Voice Lead.

This is an on-site role in Emeryville. Events also mean travel flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the calendar. Build and maintain the annual event plan — trade shows, conferences, customer dinners, recruiting events. Make the case for each one before we commit, not after.

  • Own the environment. Plan and create the booth design, the giveaways and the experience visitors have and the impression they leave with of the Foundry brand, product and company.

  • Run the events. Manage all aspects of the event from end to end and assign roles as needed (and available). Own the booth build and stocking, shipping and logistics, badges, hotels, travel, collateral, demo hardware, on-site setup and teardown. You are the one who knows where the crate is.

  • Own the numbers. Define what a show is supposed to return before we go. Track spend, leads captured, meetings booked, pipeline influenced. Publish a readout within a week of every event, including the ones that did not work.

  • Run the follow-up. Get leads out of the badge scanner and into the hands of the people who can act on them, with context, within 48 hours.

  • Prep the team. Brief whoever is staffing the booth — talk track, target accounts, who to find, what to say. Make sure engineers who have never worked a show know what good looks like.

  • Support social and content. Capture the shop floor and the show floor: photos, video, short posts. Draft and schedule content, and keep the content calendar honest.

  • Manage vendors and budget. Contracts, deadlines, invoices, deposits. Keep the event budget current and flag overruns early.

What We're Looking For

Founder mentality: We love people who build like it's their own company. You move fast, take ownership, and find a way through when the path isn't obvious. You have the drive to make big things happen and the judgment to take smart risks along the way. If you prefer a clearly defined lane, a predictable pace, and all the answers before you start, there's nothing wrong with that—but Foundry might not be the right fit.

  • 1–3 years running events, field marketing. Conference, agency, hospitality, or ops backgrounds all count.

  • Evidence you have shipped something physical to a deadline and had it arrive working.

  • Comfort with a spreadsheet: budgets, lead counts, cost per meeting. You should want to know the number, not be handed it.

  • Clear, quick writing. Booth copy, a one-pager, a follow-up email, a post.

  • Willingness to travel and to work the long day that a show floor actually is.

  • A bias toward doing it yourself. We are small; there is no events team behind you yet.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a hardware, robotics, manufacturing, or defense company.

  • Having run a booth at a large industrial or defense trade show.

  • CRM fluency (HubSpot, Salesforce) and lead routing.

  • Photo, video, or social editing skills.

We care more about what you have run than where you ran it. If you have organized something ambitious outside of a job, tell us about it.

Why Join Us?

This is one of the only places where world-class manufacturing operators, mechanical engineers, robotics researchers, and software engineers sit in the same room — building production systems together.

We are committed to being deeply embedded in the U.S. industrial base. Our focus is simple: build adaptive robotic assembly systems that make American manufacturing scalable, resilient, and competitive again.

If you want to run a mature, well-defined commercial org, this may not be the role.

If you want to build the commercial engine that brings AI-driven manufacturing to every industrial and energy customer in America — this is it.
