About OpenArt
We built OpenArt for people who have a vision but not a studio, and creators who have a story but not an entire production team.
Today, OpenArt is one of the fastest-growing AI creative platforms, helping millions of people create images, videos, stories, ads, and other creative content with AI. Our enterprise platform helps marketing, creative, and studio teams at the world's largest brands, agencies, and entertainment companies supercharge their image and video production.
OpenArt is #12 on a16z's Top 50 Consumer AI Apps by Monthly Revenue, was selected as one of just five companies in the 2026 Disney Accelerator, and was recognized by Notable Capital's Prosumer AI 40 as one of the 40 most innovative AI-native companies.
We're a small, ambitious team that moves fast, takes ownership, and builds without waiting for a playbook.
About The Role
We're hiring a B2B Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own how OpenArt's business audiences are nurtured, converted, and grown.
OpenArt sits on something most B2B marketers never get: millions of users, and inside that base, a large and growing pool of business audiences - Business Plan customers, professionals using OpenArt for work on consumer plans, and thousands of enterprise leads arriving every month from webinars, events, and content. Your job is to design the lifecycle around those pools: who to reach, with what, through which channel, at what moment - and when to stop.
Email is one channel, not the job. You'll orchestrate journeys across email, in-app messages, and website touchpoints, built from the content engine we already run: webinar series, industry events, thought leadership, and customer stories. Every journey drives one of two outcomes: the user upgrades to the Business Plan self-serve, or a high-potential account is surfaced to our sales team at exactly the right time.
You'll partner closely with RevOps on signals, scoring, and sales handoffs, with our product and growth teams on in-app channels, with product marketing on what the message says (you own who gets it, when, and whether it worked), and with the consumer lifecycle team on shared infrastructure, deliverability standards, and suppression rules, so business users never receive conflicting messages.
This is a hands-on builder role on a small, fast team: you'll find the opportunities in the data, design the journeys, write or adapt the copy, build and QA the campaigns, and prove the impact.
Why this is exciting
Own the engine behind a company-priority motion: self-serve Business Plan growth is one of OpenArt's top goals, and your journeys are how it happens.
Signal-rich from day one: work-email and behavior-based scoring refreshed daily, product usage events, and a lead base growing by thousands per month - most lifecycle marketers wait years for this much raw material.
Content to work with, not a blank page: a running webinar program, industry events, original data, and customer stories ready to be turned into journeys.
Greenfield ownership: business lifecycle has never had a dedicated owner here - you design the system, not inherit it.
Full-loop accountability: you'll see your work in revenue dashboards, not open rates.
What You'll Do
Map and segment the business audience
Build and maintain the segmentation of OpenArt's business pools: Business Plan customers, business users inside the consumer base (work-email and behavior signals), active trials, and enterprise leads from events, webinars, and content.
Partner with RevOps and data on the signals and scoring that decide who enters which journey.
Build the journeys that convert
Design and ship signal-triggered journeys: upgrade plays for high-potential users, team-to-Business migration, credit-exhaustion and usage-milestone triggers, onboarding for new Business Plan customers, and win-back.
Orchestrate across channels: email, in-app messages, and website touchpoints like pop-ups and banners, choosing the channel per moment rather than defaulting to email.
Turn campaign content into nurture
Build the always-on nurture layer from our content engine: webinar registration and follow-up sequences, event-based campaigns, thought-leadership and case-study drips mapped to funnel stage.
Work with the content and product marketing teams: they own what the message says; you own who receives it, when, through which channel, and how it performs.
Route the right accounts to sales, in time
Define and run the handoff: the thresholds and signals that move an account from automated nurture to a human seller, with RevOps-built routing and response SLAs.
Own suppression and coordination with consumer lifecycle so business audiences never get conflicting or duplicate messages.
Build it right and prove it works
Build and QA every campaign personally: segmentation logic, personalization, frequency caps, consent, and deliverability.
Measure what matters: self-serve Business Plan conversions and attributed revenue, qualified-account progression to sales, and incremental impact via A/B tests and holdouts - then iterate fast on what the data says.
What We're Looking For
4-5 years in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or growth marketing - with hands-on B2B or B2C2B experience a must: you've nurtured business buyers, or converted professional users inside a consumer base to team and business plans, and you know how a work-email signal differs from a casual signup.
Experience in both self-serve and sales-assisted lifecycle programs: you've converted users to paid plans with no seller in the loop, and you've teed high-potential accounts up for one.
3+ years hands-on with a lifecycle platform such as Customer.io, Braze, Iterable, or HubSpot: you have personally built event-triggered journeys, segments, and personalized campaigns - including triggers where the data inputs weren't yet native to the tool.
A measurable record: you can name programs you built and the conversion, engagement, or pipeline numbers they moved.
Multi-channel instinct: you've run email plus at least one other owned channel (in-app, push, on-site), and you choose channels by moment, not by habit.
Strong copywriting and editing in a business voice, with sound judgment on deliverability, consent, QA, and message frequency.
Analytics fluency: cohorts, A/B tests, holdouts, and campaign and product analytics - you separate incremental impact from noise.
A partner, not an island: you work daily with RevOps, product, data, and other marketing teams, and you keep interfaces clean.
Comfort with ambiguity: incomplete data, a fast-changing product, and no playbook - you ship, measure, and improve.
Compensation and Work Setup
Annual base salary: $155,000–$215,000, plus bonus and equity.
Full-time hybrid in San Carlos, California, working closely with the Enterprise GTM, RevOps, product, and growth teams.
