Audio Editor – Multitrack Dialogue
- Location: Remote
- Type: Contract (20 to 35 hours per week, 2 to 4 weeks initially with potential to extend)
- Duration: Immediate start; group training on Monday, October 27
You’ll master multitrack recordings from our production studio and deliver them to spec through our platform. Each session captures a user mic, an assistant mic and four channels from a Zoom field recorder. The four-channel portion is where most of the work lives: each channel needs individual leveling, noise reduction and timing alignment so the mix stays even across the stereo field. You’ll work from a rubric, hand off to QA, and flag recording issues (camera movement during dialogue, sync problems) back to the production team.
This is a hands-on editing role. We’re looking for people who can work channel by channel in a DAW, not people who rely on one-click AI cleanup tools.
What you’ll do
- Master roughly one file per 3 hours: clean, denoise, level and align six tracks per session
- Apply and adjust processing per channel; correct timing offsets between channels
- Deliver files in the required format and loudness spec through our platform
- Follow the QA rubric and incorporate feedback from reviewers
- Note recurring audio problems so the studio team can fix them at the source
What we’re looking for
- Proficiency in a professional DAW (Reaper, Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic or similar)
- Experience with multitrack dialogue editing and field recorder audio
- Strong noise reduction skills (iZotope RX or comparable)
- Ability to hear and correct timing and phase issues between channels
- Consistency and speed; you can hit a quality bar repeatedly across dozens of files
- Availability for full-time hours for at least the next two weeks
Nice to have
- Background in podcast, film or broadcast post-production
- Experience working to a rubric or client spec at volume
- Familiarity with Zoom H-series or F-series recorders
