Description

Vice President, Global Field Marketing

As VP of Global Field Marketing, you own the in-region and in-person demand engine that turns Dataiku’s global positioning into regional pipeline. That covers field marketing across AMER, EMEA and APJ, partner marketing, and a global events portfolio: our owned flagship events (Dataiku Succeed, regional Summits and Exchanges) and pipeline-generating presence at Snowflake Summit, Databricks Data + AI Summit and AWS re:Invent. You lead a team of 25 accountable for a material share of company pipeline and sit on the marketing leadership team.

Your first mandate is regional sales alignment: generating pipeline and accelerating in-flight deals. Regional sales leaders will turn to you for territory-level program design, and you’ll be measured on pipeline alongside them.

You’ll also run this function as an AI-native operation. Dataiku sells The Platform for AI Success, and our marketing should prove it works. Using generative AI to compress planning, scale personalization, speed up follow-up and sharpen investment decisions isn’t an innovation project. It’s how the work gets done, and it’s a performance expectation for you and your team.

Dataiku is an established leader in a market still being defined, and the field engine that captures that opportunity is largely yours to design. The role requires regular travel across all three regions.

What you’ll do

Regional sales alignment & pipeline

  • Own field-sourced and field-influenced pipeline targets across all regions, jointly accountable with regional sales leadership for both new pipeline and deal acceleration.
  • Build a joint planning rhythm with each region’s sales leadership: territory and account-level programs, QBRs and shared forecasting. No program launches without a named sales owner, a follow-up motion and a pipeline number.
  • Use AI to deliver account research, prospect briefs, meeting prep and program recommendations to sales in hours, not weeks.

Field marketing leadership

  • Lead and develop three regional teams that adapt global campaigns into credible regional programs across account tiers, industries and product plays, while keeping one consistent brand, message and event experience worldwide.
  • Build a cross-region rhythm of shared playbooks, results and best practices so learnings compound instead of staying siloed.
  • Own the field marketing budget across regions, program types and account tiers, shifting spend based on performance.
  • Use AI to localize campaigns and tailor account-level content without adding proportional headcount or agency spend.
  • Run account engagement programs (executive roundtables, dinners, advisory moments) that create pipeline and unstick late-stage deals, coordinated with Digital & Growth.

Global events

  • Own the events portfolio and its pipeline contribution, shifting it from presence to performance.
  • Own Succeed and our regional Summits and Exchanges end to end (strategy, audience targets, content, sponsorship, production and on-site experience) with pipeline accountability for each, plus our presence at major ecosystem events.
  • Run a tiered event strategy with brand, pipeline and account targets by tier, and enforce activation planning gates.
  • Ensure tight sales integration and fast, AI-personalized follow-up on every event.
  • Rationalize the portfolio continuously on ROI data, investing where events perform and cutting what doesn’t, even when it’s unpopular.

Partner marketing

  • Own partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, integrating partner motions into regional field plans rather than running them in parallel.
  • Work with the Global Partner Organization at leadership level on joint GTM priorities and MDF deployment.

AI-powered execution

  • Set the AI standard for the team: define where it’s expected, build the enablement, and hold people accountable.
  • Eliminate manual work (briefs, localization, event recaps, list building, reporting) and redirect that capacity to sales alignment and account engagement.
  • Build AI into decisions, not just production: investment analysis, performance synthesis and account prioritization.

Measurement & operating discipline

  • Set a consistent ROI standard for field and events, and use it to reallocate investment regularly.
  • Hold all three regions to a common planning, activation and follow-up rhythm, and bring pipeline reality to the leadership team, including what’s underperforming and why.

What you bring

  • 10+ years in B2B marketing, including global field marketing leadership in high-growth enterprise software or SaaS, managing 20+ people through regional directors. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • A named pipeline number carried jointly with sales, not activity metrics.
  • Ownership of a 1,000+ attendee flagship event and major ecosystem event presence, with budget, sponsorship and pipeline accountability.
  • A track record of deploying generative AI in a marketing org with measurable results. Personal fluency counts; driving team adoption counts more.
  • Peer-level credibility with enterprise sales leaders.
  • Strong command of tiered event strategy, event ROI and large-scale event operations.
  • Hands-on AI fluency, including knowing where it changes the economics of a motion and where it doesn’t.
  • Enough fluency in CRM, marketing automation, attribution and ABM to challenge the numbers, not just receive them.
  • Strong partner instincts, or the judgment to lead a partner marketing leader well.

How you operate

  • Comfortable being measured on the same number as sales.
  • Urgent about AI adoption; “we’ve always resourced it this way” is a problem to solve.
  • Direct and low-ego, able to raise the bar between global marketing and three sales orgs without creating friction.
  • Willing to make and defend unpopular, data-backed trade-offs.
  • Builds leaders, not just programs, across regions of uneven maturity.
  • Enterprise over function: field and partner marketing serve company pipeline.
  • Owns outcomes and escalates early, with a recommendation.
  • Speaks truth, including where programs or partners underperform.
  • Challenges decisions in the room, then commits fully.
