About Groq
Inference is the engine that powers AI, and Groq was built from the silicon up to deliver the world's fastest inference at scale. We pioneered the LPU—the first processor designed specifically for AI inference—and are transforming that innovation into a global cloud platform powering production AI workloads.
With the capital, infrastructure, and team to execute, we're uniquely positioned to define the next era of AI infrastructure. The opportunity is massive, and it's still wide open. Now let's go build it!
Mission
As a Fundraising & Capital Markets Analyst, you will be the analytical engine behind Groq's capital-raising efforts. Reporting to the Fundraising & Capital Markets Principal once they join, and working alongside the Executive Chair, CEO, and CFO, you will build the models, materials, and investor data that support Groq's equity, debt, and structured capital raises.
This is a hands-on, high-exposure role inside Groq's Office of the CEO and Executive Chair. You will work on live transactions from preparation through close: building financial models and valuation analyses, preparing investor materials, managing the data room, and keeping complex processes organized and on schedule. You will see firsthand how senior leaders raise capital from sovereign wealth funds, strategic investors, and institutional capital, and you will take on more responsibility as you show strong judgment.
Success requires strong financial modeling skills, attention to detail, sound judgment with sensitive information, and the ability to keep several workstreams moving at once in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment.
Location
Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area.
This role will be a core member of Groq's Office of the CEO and Executive Chair, which we are building in Dallas.
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role
- Build and maintain financial models: Own day-to-day updates to Groq's operating, valuation, and capitalization models. Run dilution, cap table, and scenario analyses for each transaction, and pressure-test assumptions with the Principal and Finance team.
- Prepare investor-grade materials: Draft and refine investor presentations, CIMs, management presentations, teasers, and one-pagers. Help turn Groq's technology, market, and financial story into clear, accurate, compelling materials.
- Support processes end-to-end: Help run each raise from preparation through close. This includes building investor target lists, tracking outreach and sequencing, coordinating management meetings, and keeping detailed process trackers.
- Manage the data room and diligence: Build and organize data rooms, coordinate diligence requests across Finance, Legal, and the business, and draft first-pass responses to investor questions.
- Run market and investor research: Research investors, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and market conditions. Build investor profiles and benchmarking analyses that inform targeting and valuation.
- Support term analysis: Summarize and compare term sheets, model the economic impact of different structures, and prepare side-by-side analyses for senior decision-makers.
- Prepare Board and leadership materials: Draft sections of Board decks and internal updates covering financing strategy, process status, term comparisons, and capitalization impact.
- Own the investor CRM and data: Maintain Groq's investor database and CRM so that relationship history, outreach, and pipeline data are accurate and current.
- Support investor relations: Help prepare ongoing investor updates, reporting, and communications so existing investors stay informed and engaged between rounds.
- Partner across the Office of the CEO: Work closely with the Chief of Staff, Finance, Legal, Corporate Development, and Communications to gather information, align on materials, and keep work coordinated.
- Coordinate with bankers and advisors: Act as a day-to-day point of contact for investment banks, placement agents, and outside counsel on analytical and logistical workstreams.
- Grow with the function: Help build the processes, templates, and tools that let Groq raise capital efficiently and repeatedly as the company scales.
Ideal candidates have/are
- Strong analysts: You build clean, flexible financial models from scratch and know how to check your own work.
- Detail-oriented and reliable: Your materials are accurate, polished, and on time, and people trust what you deliver.
- Clear communicators: You can boil complex financial and technical information down to crisp slides and written summaries.
- Investor-minded: You're curious about how investors think and want to understand what makes a business investable.
- High urgency and ownership: You take initiative, move quickly, and follow through without being chased.
- Organized under pressure: You can manage several workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders at once without dropping details.
- Low ego and eager to learn: You care more about the result than the credit, take feedback well, and adapt quickly when priorities change.
