About
Welcome to HackSocial
HackSocial is a hackathon aimed at benefiting the greater good and giving back to the community. It is open to all high school, college, and post-grad students. We want to see solutions that make an impact in our community and drive change. Anyone can start and make a change, from beginners to advanced programmers.
Participants can choose from three tracks, each designed to explore a different way of making an impact:
Beginner – Best for hackers with beginner-level experience in programming.
AI/ML – Create practical solutions implementing or creating Aritificial Intelligence and/or Machine learning in your application
Visual Design Track – Design apps that are functional and visually appealing. They make the user interactions and interface easy to use with stunning visuals and functionality.
Lifestyle Hacks Track – Anything that affects us in our day to day lives. From health to daily life, everything that affects how we live counts!
Requirements
What to Build
You can build anything that solves a real-world problem, makes life easier, or simply brings joy. Your project can fall into any category, technical or creative. Some ideas include:
- A website or web app that helps people manage their time, health, or finances
- A mobile app that connects local communities
- An AI-powered chatbot for tutoring or mental health
- A game with a compelling story or educational twist
- A cybersecurity tool for online safety
- A machine learning model that makes predictions or recommendations
- A tool for environmental awareness or activism
No idea is too big or small. Originality, creativity, and usefulness matter more than perfection.
What to Submit
To officially enter HackSocial 2025, you must submit
- GitHub Repo or Code Files : Share your source code or working prototype.
- Project Description : Briefly explain your inspiration, tech stack, and what you learned.
