About
YC Fall 2026 × Moss: The Zero Latency Builder Sprint
Build the next generation of AI applications with Moss and make latency your competitive advantage.
Powered by Moss (YC F25), this builder sprint challenges you to turn ideas inspired by Y Combinator’s Fall 2026 Requests for Startups into production-ready AI applications where speed matters.
Moss provides sub-10ms semantic search without requiring a traditional vector database, giving AI agents fast access to the context they need. It can run across the browser, edge, on-device, or cloud environments.
What Can You Build?Choose a problem inspired by YC's Fall 2026 Requests for Startups and build an AI application where fast retrieval meaningfully improves the product.
1. Real-Time Voice & Conversational AI
Build voice agents for field workers, healthcare, dispatch, customer support, and more.
2. Multiplayer AI & Collaborative Agents
Build AI-powered workspaces where humans and agents share context and collaborate on long-running tasks.
3. Local-First AI & The Small Cloud
Build privacy-first browser copilots, developer utilities, or AI applications that run close to the user.
4. Agent Reliability, Security & Evaluation
Build systems that make AI agents more trustworthy through runtime guardrails, evaluation, and context validation.
1. Read the complete hackathon details and understand the challenge.
2. Register on the HiDevs platform.
3. Join the official WhatsApp community for announcements and updates.
4. Explore the Moss documentation and starter resources.
5. Build, test, and submit your AI application before the deadline.
Requirements
Build a functional AI application inspired by one of the challenge themes. Your project should demonstrate how fast retrieval with Moss improves the application's performance, responsiveness, or user experience.
Your solution should be functional and demonstrate meaningful use of Moss in the retrieval layer.
What to SubmitEvery submission must include:
• Architecture Diagram
• PRD (Product Requirements Document)
• GitHub Repository
• Deployed Link of the Agent
• Video Demo
The video demo should clearly demonstrate the working product and explain how Moss contributes to the solution.
