About
About the challenge
Google Developer Groups on Campus (GDGoC) are student-led technology communities that build developer ecosystems at universities worldwide. GDG on Campus – Waseda University (Tokyo) and GDG on Campus – VTU (Belagavi) are active, established chapters in Japan and India respectively — but opportunities for their students to collaborate directly on technical work have so far been limited.
GDGoC Summer DevSprint 2026 changes that: a 3-day international hackathon where students from both chapters form mixed teams and ship real, deployable projects together.
Get started
Dive into a team consisted of 4 members (2 from GDGoC Waseda and 2 from GDGoC VTU) and spend the next days learning and developing together throghout series of workshops and mentoring. Participants will be given 3 days to develop a project and present their work at the end of the third day.
Requirements
What to Build
The hackathon aims to develop technology-driven solutions addressing local issues faced by participants from both GDGoC Waseda and GDGoC VTU such as sustainability, waste management, etc.
