Content Marketing Manager (US-Remote)
TRM Labs · United States only
Compensation
$110-$140/hr
Description
About the Role
TRM Labs is looking for an exceptional Content Marketing Manager to own the editorial engine behind our talent-brand content.
This is not a traditional employer-brand or recruiting-marketing role. We are looking for a proven content marketer from a high-growth technology company who can bring strong editorial judgment, strategic rigor, and operating discipline to TRM.
You’ll own the content calendar, shape ideas with senior leaders and technical experts, maintain a high editorial bar, and ultimately own a tight iterative evaluation loop of whether we are producing and amplifying the right content in the right ways to reach our target audience and reach our share of voice goals.
The right person is an excellent writer and editor, but this is not primarily a high-volume copywriting role. Your value will come from setting the standard, improving the work of others, keeping the content engine moving, and connecting every piece back to a clear strategic message.
**Please note:
- This is a US-remote contract role
- The engagement is expected to be 20 hours per week and is intended to be a longer-term, ongoing engagement for the right person, with potential to expand in scope and hours based on performance and business needs
- Candidates must be able to provide at least 4 hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time
- This is an immediate need. Candidates should be readily available to interview and onboard if selected
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining strong responsiveness during the working day
What You’ll Own
- Own the editorial calendar across TRM’s talent-brand content, including priorities, timelines, owners, and status.
- Shape content strategy around TRM’s core talent narratives and make sure each piece supports one of our 3 messaging goals that we are trying to win SOV on.
- Edit and elevate content produced by executives, technical leaders, and subject-matter experts.
- Partner closely with a small group of R&D leaders TRM is developing into visible thought leaders and “talent magnets.”
- Help those leaders develop differentiated topics, maintain a consistent publishing cadence, and turn their expertise into compelling content.
- Support blogs, executive thought leadership, social content, speaking-related content, and other high-impact editorial programs.
- Maintain a consistently high quality bar across all published work.
- Ensure content feels distinctive, credible, human, and aligned with TRM’s voice.
- Work with growth, distribution, and external partners to make sure content reaches the right audiences rather than simply generating traffic.
- Help develop briefs and positioning for influencers, agencies, production partners, and other external collaborators.
- Build a repeatable content operating system that balances long-term strategy with week-to-week execution.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of recent experience operating within a high-growth technology company during its roughly 200–800 employee stage.
- Meaningful ownership of content marketing at a strong technology company.
- Excellent writing and editing judgment.
- Experience managing editorial calendars, multiple contributors, and ongoing content programs.
- Strong experience developing content with executives, founders, technical leaders, or subject-matter experts.
- Ability to maintain a strategic through-line while managing day-to-day execution.
- Strong understanding of content distribution and how to reach specific target audiences.
- High editorial standards and the ability to distinguish polished, original work from generic or low-quality content.
- Comfort using AI thoughtfully as a productivity tool while maintaining a distinctly human voice and editorial standard.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment with a high performance bar.
Relevant Backgrounds May Include

- Exact title matters less than demonstrated ownership, editorial quality, and impact.
Nice to Have
- Experience building thought-leadership programs around individual executives or technical leaders.
- Experience working with growth agencies, distribution partners, or external production teams.
- Experience creating culture, company-narrative, or executive-brand content.
- Experience marketing to highly technical audiences.
Important Background Note
Prior employer-brand, recruiting-marketing, or talent-brand experience is not required and is not the target profile.
