Honda is seeking a skilled UX Designer to lead the development of user-centered experiences across digital touchpoints, with a primary focus on in-vehicle systems such as dashboard interfaces. The role also includes light work on mobile applications. The designer will work closely with engineering and product teams on-site at the Raymond, OH location four days per week.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of experience in UX design and is capable of owning design initiatives from concept through execution. This is a contract position with potential for long-term engagement or conversion to a full-time role based on performance.

What you'll be working on

• Design intuitive and innovative user interfaces for Honda vehicle infotainment and digital cockpit systems
• Develop user experience strategies for next-generation automotive digital interactions
• Create comprehensive design solutions that enhance driver and passenger engagement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate UX design into vehicle development processes
• Prototype and validate user interface concepts for in-vehicle technology

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and usability testing specific to automotive user experiences
• Generate detailed wireframes, interaction flows, and high-fidelity design mockups
• Translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly design solutions
• Create design documentation and interaction guidelines
• Present design concepts to stakeholders and product management teams
• Iterate designs based on user feedback and technical constraints
• Ensure design consistency across different vehicle models and digital platforms

Requirements

• 3-5 years of UX design experience; in-vehicle/automotive experience a big plus
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design approach
• Proficiency in Figma
• Understanding of automotive HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design principles
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid knowledge of accessibility and usability standards.
