Description

JAB Institutional is a next-generation growth and innovation platform focused on insurance and financial services, launched in  September 2026 within JAB Insurance, the global insurance business of JAB Holding Company with more than $25 billion in  general account assets. Backed by permanent capital, its flagship business is JAB Re, a global reinsurance and capital  solutions business; alongside it, JAB Institutional is building a planning-led financial advisory and wealth management  business to help individual clients with protected accumulation and guaranteed income.

The Platform

JAB is building a new wealth management platform for households with $500,000 to $2 million in investable assets - a large  segment underserved by both digital-only advice and traditional wealth management firms. The platform combines centralized  client acquisition, AI-enabled planning technology, and an integrated product shelf spanning investments, guaranteed lifetime  income, protection, and lending, delivered through financial advisors. Behind it sit in-house insurance and asset management  manufacturing and a multi-decade investment horizon. The platform will enter its first in-market phase in late 2026, and the  first advisors will join the platform in 2027.

The end state is a platform that will serve as the client's financial one-stop-shop: the place where their entire financial life will  be managed by their advisor, heavily supported by the platform. It will run the full advisory workflow - onboarding, account  opening, custodian connectivity, trade execution, and portfolio management and rebalancing - with autonomous agents in the  loop driving much of the day-to-day support work.

The Role

This role owns the product. The platform is assembled from best-in-class technology partners, with JAB owning the layers that  differentiate it: client acquisition and engagement, the client and advisor experience, and the household data, analytics, and AI  foundation beneath them. The initial build is under way with a selected engagement platform partner and will take the platform  into market in late 2026. The Lead Product Manager is JAB's day-to-day product owner through that build and beyond: shaping  the product to the North Star vision set by senior leadership, and obsessing over the small details that make the client and  advisor experience outstanding. It is the platform's first dedicated hire and reports to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Product definition: Translate the North Star vision into concrete product: client and advisor journeys, feature requirements,  and acceptance criteria across every component.

• User experience: Own the details of every client and advisor interaction - flows, screens, language, edge cases - and hold  every one of them to an outstanding standard on both sides of the platform.

• Roadmap: Own the backlog and roadmap; prioritize across competing demands using pilot data, advisor feedback, and the  platform's unit economics.

• Delivery: Work day to day with the technology partners behind each component on feature delivery, configuration, testing,  and release quality.

• Feedback and measurement: Run the loop from advisor and client feedback into prioritized releases, and instrument the  client funnel so that conversion and unit economics can be read directly from platform data.

• Cross-functional: Work with legal and compliance so that client-facing features, communications, and data handling meet  regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management with a genuine mix of business and technical skills - comfortable in commercial  discussions with vendors and in technical discussions about APIs (application programming interfaces) and data. An entrepreneurial, problem-solving profile: drive, end-to-end ownership, comfort operating in an early-stage environment  where priorities shift, and obsessive attention to the small details that make a user experience outstanding. Experience building on or integrating third-party platforms, not only in-house software, and the judgment to decide what is  built, configured, or deferred.

Analytical fluency: funnel metrics, experiment design, and ability to manipulate large data sets to answer questions directly  from the platform.

Experience in wealth management and/or fintech. New York City-based.
