Description
About Wayfindr
Wayfindr is a tech-enabled 4PL. We give ambitious ecommerce brands one team, one platform, and one point of accountability so they can scale into any market, fast. Our job is to make logistics understandable. Yours would be to help us write about it in a way people actually want to read.
The role
You will write. A lot. All website and SEO related content. You will learn about content clusters and internal linking to optimize those content clusters.
What you'll do
You will draft and edit copy across channels: blog articles, LinkedIn and social captions, newsletters, website sections, and short-form ad copy. You will research topics and verify facts before they go anywhere near a published page. You will learn and apply our brand voice and style guide, then help us keep it consistent. You will proofread and fact-check the team's work, and you will pitch ideas in planning sessions rather than wait to be told what to write.
What we're looking for
You write clearly and you cut the filler. You care about getting things right, which means you check facts and you spell people's names correctly. You take feedback well and turn it around fast. You are curious enough to make a dry subject interesting, and organised enough to juggle a few briefs at once without losing one.
You know how to work with AI tools and where they stop being useful. We expect you to use AI to move faster on research, first drafts, and repetitive work, and we expect you to know when a piece needs a human to lead. The skill we care about is the balance: using AI to facilitate the work without letting it flatten the writing into something generic. If you can tell the difference between a draft AI got you 80 percent of the way and copy that actually sounds like us, you are the person we want.
Formal experience is not required. Good writing is. Send us proof you can do it.
Nice to have
Any of these help but none are dealbreakers: a portfolio, blog, or writing samples of any kind; familiarity with SEO or content marketing basics; comfort with tools like Google Docs, Notion, or a CMS; an interest in ecommerce, logistics, or how brands grow.
The schedule
Month 1 is part-time so you can settle in, learn the voice, and build up to a full workload. Months 2 and 3 are full-time, with real ownership of live projects. If it goes well for both of us, there is a conversation to be had about what comes next.
How to apply
Send a short note telling us why you want this and two or three writing samples (published work, coursework, or something you wrote for fun) to [marketing@wayfindr.io].
No cover letter template, please. Just show us you can write.
