Upstream Innovation Strategy Consultant

We are seeking a strategic thought partner to help crystallise the vision for a new upstream innovation capability (futures / breakthrough / accelerator) inside Colgate-Palmolive. The primary objective is to build a compelling executive narrative and pragmatic roadmap that inspires leadership action and unlocks a sustainable pipeline of Horizon 2 and 3 ventures.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Strategic Narrative & Business Case Development: Define the opportunity (What), articulate its strategic importance (Why), and establish a persuasive business case backed by cross-industry models (e.g., PepsiCo, Diageo, L'Oréal).
• Operating Model & Roadmap Design: Design a practical implementation plan (How) and a "path to transformation" roadmap addressing the behavior changes, new mindsets, and cross-functional structures required to scale innovation.
• Tangible Concepting & Experiential Engagement: Partner on creating arresting, interactive elements (such as mock-ups, lightweight initiatives, and inspiration sessions) to help leadership feel the opportunity, driving faster adoption.
• Stakeholder Mapping: Map out critical stakeholder engagements and buy-in strategies required from initial sell-in through to the launch of Phase 1.
• Immersion & Acceleration: Quickly immerse into Colgate-Palmolive’s brand world, strategic documentation, and current innovation cadence to deliver fast, lightweight "quick wins" and thought-starters.
